Whilst working on a long-term contract at TUI, I was asked to design a concept for a ‘Cook Book’ iPad App. The App needed to feature recipes from TUI customers favourite destinations, recipes that they enjoyed whilst in that destination, or that reminded them of their travels. After getting approval for the initial screen designs, featuring 8 recipes, I turned this into an interactive demo, which you can try by clicking on the iPad screens below:
The interactive demo was showcased at an internal TUI event, giving staff from many other departments the chance to use it and feedback on it. In reality, it would, of course, need to be UX tested by users outside of the travel industry. It was well received, however, so much so I needed to spec it to take over 30 recipes if it was taken forward as a commercially competitive project.
